About the Role

The Finance Intern analyzes revenue, expenses and overhead and provides reports under the direction of the FP&A director. Work must be performed timely and accurately, always preserving accuracy, confidentiality and security of information.  

Essential Function / Duties

  • Provide financial and analytical support by compiling data from accounting into reports for analysis by company management
  • Preparation of supplemental data and supporting schedules for monthly financial reporting
  • Research and resolve business department discrepancies
  • Prepare and update planning and forecast models for review
  • Perform research and analysis on economic indicators that drive the business
  • Other duties and analysis as directed by the supervisor

Work Schedule / Supervision

Position: Temporary Part-time Internship; 3-months from start date

Position Status:  Non-exempt: with compensation; without notice

Recommended Education / Experience

  • Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include finance, business administration, or similar.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience in accounting; knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in MS Office
