WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Promote Safety: Lead our safety program, train employees in best practices, and actively work to create a safe and positive work environment.
Optimize Sawmill Operations: Implement and maintain a cost-effective, reliable maintenance program to keep our equipment in top condition, reduce downtime, and streamline operations using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Facility and Boiler Maintenance: Manage boiler operations safely, support emergency repairs, and oversee facility maintenance with a focus on long-term planning and efficiency.
Lead and Develop a Team: Guide and support our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift maintenance teams, fostering a culture of respect, continuous improvement, and lean principles.
Strategic Planning: Participate in capital planning, identify improvement opportunities, and work toward company operating and financial goals.
Environment: This role involves both office and hands-on work in production and warehouse settings. You’ll experience various weather conditions, work around high noise levels, and be exposed to potentially hazardous machinery.

SCHEDULE. This is full-time, Monday–Friday position generally working Full-time: 40 hours per week; can be substantially more; irregular hours. Some schedule flexibility is required for preventive maintenance and emergency situations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Experience: 5+ years manufacturing supervisory experience required, preferably in a sawmill or the wood products industry.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of hardwood sawmill equipment, CMMS software, preventative and predictive maintenance (ex: vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, laser alignment), and capital equipment installation.
Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; a knack for prioritizing and managing multiple projects.
Qualities: Positive, resourceful, team-oriented, and able to lead effectively in a dynamic environment.
