About the Role

The Logistics and Quality Coordinator is responsible for packaging, shipping, and receiving products, including inspection and acceptance activities.  This will involve significant interaction with the ERP system, creating purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and tracking of outsourced/external processing.

Essential Function / Duties


  • Manage all customer shipments and logistics, both domestic and international
  • Pick product accurately from inventory
  • Pack outgoing shipments to avoid damage
  • Prepare shipping labels and appropriate documentation
  • Ship all items and coordinate freight
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is included in shipments
  • Manage manufacturing and purchase orders
    • Create purchase orders and manufacturing orders in ERP system for internal and external processing
    • Document and close out purchase and manufacturing orders in ERP system
  • Facilitate product returns
  • Maintain packaging supply inventory (boxes, bubble wrap, bags, etc.)
  • Coordinate non-inventory shipments including demos, samples, and collateral
  • Contribute to physical maintenance of inventory and cycle counts
  • Assist with purchase orders for other direct and indirect materials
  • Responsible for relationships with shipping partners

Quality Control

  • Perform acceptance activities
  • Document nonconforming goods and services
  • Review and audit Medical Device records for comprehensiveness
  • Author records using good documentation practices
  • Complete receiving paperwork and data entry
  • Execute Document Control and Record Control activities
  • Participate in associated development of work instructions
  • Accept responsibility for your safety and the safety of others by using safety awareness tools to eliminate unsafe acts and correct unsafe conditions
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule / Supervision

Position: Full-time: 40 hours per week; minimal travel to local company locations

Position Status:  Non-Exempt position; without compensation and without notice; overtime may be necessary.

Recommended Education / Experience

Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment and familiarity with inspection tools and processes is preferred.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

May require the use of personal protective equipment for various tasks; sitting/standing for long periods of time; computer station work.  Other factors are warehouse and production floor environment and working around potentially hazardous machinery.  Forklift training may be required.
